Shining Sister: Margaret Hughes of Kappa Delta at FSU
Margaret Hughes
Junior at Florida State University
Major in Social Work
Fellow Kappa Delta at FSU, Emory Mikell, calls her, “one of the strongest, kind spirited, and selfless people (she has) ever met,” so it’s no wonder her chapter nominated Margaret Hughes as one of our first Shining Sisters on ChickSpeak.com. Margaret has an incredibly optimistic and understanding attitude and is a true “Shining Sister” in our sorority at Florida State University. This sister is a Community Service Scholar, involved in Dance Marathon, Student Boosters, Hunger and Homeless Cadre, and the Center for Civic Education.
As if that’s not enough to keep her busy, Margaret is a Garnet and Gold Key member, which is FSU’s leadership honor society. She is a phenomenal member within Kappa Delta on campus and encompasses everything that a Kappa Delta should be. This young woman is truly an outstanding Junior from the Kappa Alpha Chapter. According to the chapter president, Jennifer Jacob, Margaret’s spirit is best summed up in saying,
”She adds a certain spark to our organization. She does everything in her power to make other people’s lives better, and she doesn’t ask for anything in return.”
Margaret, a big “thank you” from the girls at ChickSpeak.com for your warm spirit and passion for serving others. You are an inspiration to those around you.
