End World Hunger with Free Rice
Free Rice is a multiple choice vocabulary game that for every word someone gets right, 10 grains of rice are donated to the United Nations to help in the fight against world hunger. The site was created by Poverty.com. They state that over 1,330,639,890 grains of rice have been donated since October 7th. This concept amazes me, assuming that it can continue to be funded by advertisers.
Might just be the most productive “distraction” I have found to date.
