Laura Stiles, current Senior and president of the Zeta Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Delta at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, seems to be the perfect mix of staggering smarts and heart.

Besides maintaining a GPA just shy of a perfect 4.0 in her Engineering Physics major, Laura also is the KD Academic Excellence Chair, the Secretary for the Society of Physics, the President of the KU Microgravity Team, and in the O.W.L. Junior Honor Society, among other activities.

She’s spent time as a NASA Academy Research Associate at the Goddard Space Flight Center, and has won a large handful of related scholarships, awards and honors.

Beyond her academic and professional experiences, this Shining Sister originally from Prairie Village, Kansas, has been an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity since 2005 and enjoys being on both the KU Club Swim Team and the KU Skydiving Club.
