Hungry Girl’s 100 Calorie Cocktail or “Mocktail”

yapyap.jpgPerfect for holiday parties, HG’s versions of traditional cocktails are always crowd pleasers. For those of us who aren’t too keen on drinking alcohol or aren’t yet 21, try this recipe sans liquor. You’ll save about 80 calories and won’t be missing a thing. :-)

2007 was the year of 100-calorie EVERYTHING. So could there be a better way to end it than with a delicious 100-calorie cocktail!?! NOPE! Here’s the fun part — just bring a bottle of Torani Sugar Free Syrup in your favorite fruity flavor to your New Year’s destination (click here to find a store near you that sells the stuff or here to order online). Slip the bottle to the bartender with a copy of the recipe below. Then start yapping to your partying pals — tell ‘em to order the HG 100-Calorie Cocktail, and the bartender’ll know what to do!

Hungry Girl’s Yap-Yap-Yap 100-Calorie Cocktail

PER SERVING (1 drink): 100 calories, 0g fat, 8 - 55mg sodium, 1g carbs, 0g fiber, 0 - 1.5g sugars, 0g protein — POINTS® value 2*

Ingredients:
4 oz. seltzer or club soda
1 1/2 oz. vodka (80 proof)
1 1/2 oz. Torani Sugar Free Syrup (any fruit flavor)
splash of lime juice

Directions:
Mix seltzer (or club soda), vodka, syrup, and lime juice, and serve over ice. Enjoy!

MAKES 1 SERVING

Special Note:For those not yet legal or not interested in consuming alcohol, skip the vodka and still enjoy this festive drink. You’ll save appx 80 of those 100 calories in that single move! Even more cause to celebrate.
