It’s a great feeling to know that your sorority can afford its own house on your college campus.  Your parents, significant others, and peers can see your sorority pride manifested in an actual dwelling- and a sorority house creates the perfect environment for you and your fellow sisters to foster closer bonds, traditions and to host meetings and socials throughout the academic year. 

However, not every sorority has the ability or option to have its own house.  But the good thing is- a house isn’t needed for a sorority member to show her immense pride in her organization.    

There are many ways in which sorority members can express their pride- below are a few ways:

Deck out your room

Your room and the way it is decorated says a lot about you and your personality, hobbies, tastes and what is most important to you.  With that said, you can showcase the pride you hold in your sorority by decorating your room to reflect just that.  Perhaps you can buy bedcovers in the same colors that represent your sorority, or have a small corner of the room filled with photos of you and your chapter sisters and other sorority paraphernalia.

Your car’s rearview mirror

You’ve seen it before; people often drape necklaces, religious objects, their national flags, or those pine-tree-shaped scents on their car’s rear view mirror.  Why not add a tiki necklace with your sorority’s letters to the mirror?  It’s a gentle reminder of the great organization that you’re a part of and you also may never know when you may want to wear it.  

Your keychain

Adding a keychain with your sorority’s Greek letters to the rest of your keys is a small but strong expression of your love for your organization.  You carry your keys with you everywhere as do your sorority pride, so why not do so?

Your attire

Of course, wearing a Greek-lettered shirt is one of the most recognizable and sometimes underestimated ways of showing how much you love your sorority.  If you’re on a road trip or visiting a city you’ve never been to, try wearing a lettered shirt when you go out one day.  You will be surprised to see how many double-glances you get, which can be beneficial for recruitment and networking purposes. 

Also, who knows, you may meet another member of your same organization in the street, which would be cool and will once again remind you of the great beauty of your sorority.
